I have quit the rat race. I have chosen instead to be a parent and homemaker. As I have quit my job I will have little income and no welfare benefits. I am a single mum with one child. My budget is £700/month. This is my account of how that goes.

£30 in gift vouchers from work! Woohoo!
Joys: Good friends and neighbours. My child’s friends and happiness.
Concerns: I’ll need to buy a school uniform in 18 months.
